What I Did:
Mountain biked and raced - a lot!
PHP, HTML, CSS, Graphic Design
In 1999 I was racing mountain bikes at the professional level and I realized I needed an ability to offer
more exposure for my sponsors and for myself. This is how I got started in designing and developing websites.
The emphasis of my website was to promote my sponsors and to provide a little portal to my world of mountain bike racing.
The home page grid image taken from my bike while riding the fifty year old trail in Tucson, AZ said it all. When you moused over
the grid images, a message appearing image by image saying “Step into my office” said it all.
The website is still in existence but hasn't changed in a very long time. I keep it around for sentimental reasons.

The home landing page was designed a little bit like a "video game" or a portal window. Sponsor logos were prominently displayed in the footer of the website.

When the individual grid images were hovered or moused over, they displayed part of a tagline. By quickly and fluently traversing the images the complete tagline "Step into my office" was revealed.
-
When one of the sponsor logos in the footer was clicked it would take the website visitor to a "About the sponsor" page where I provided a testimonial and outgoing link.
-
The bio page listed some basic info and stats. The photo could be switched by clicking one of the smaller thumbnail images.
-
Included some information and pictures on my athletic background.
-
Enlarged view of one of the clicked photos from the main background page. The arrow back graphic highlighted on mouse over and would take the website visitor back to the main background page.
-
Listed some major athletic career highlights.

Around the time of attending Graduate School I added a small scale career portfolio to promote my career growth. In this section I provided a PDF download link to my resume.
